What information we collect

When you use the enquiry form on our Contact page, we collect the details you enter:

  • your first and last name and email address;
  • your phone number and company or organisation, if you choose to give them;
  • the service you need, the project location (optional) and the project details you describe;
  • your confirmation that we may use the information to respond to your enquiry.

If you phone or email us directly, we receive the information you give us in that call or message.

Why we collect it and how we use it

We use your information to respond to your enquiry, to prepare a quotation if you ask for one, and to communicate with you about your project. We keep a record of the enquiry and our correspondence so we can follow up and deal with any resulting work.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for marketing unless you ask us to.

Our lawful basis

Under UK data-protection law, we rely on our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries about our services. Where your enquiry is about work you may ask us to carry out, we also rely on taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.

Who receives or processes your information

  • Formspree — our website form provider. When you submit the form, your submission is sent to Formspree, which delivers it to our email inbox and keeps a copy in our Formspree account. Formspree may also process technical information linked to the submission, such as your IP address, to deliver the service and filter spam. Formspree is based in the United States, so your submission may be processed outside the UK. See Formspree’s privacy policy.
  • Our business email provider — enquiries arrive in, and are stored in, our business email account.
  • Google Analytics — only if you accept analytics cookies (see below).
  • Netlify — hosts this website. Like any web host, it processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and keep the site secure.

We only share your information with anyone else where it is needed to deal with your enquiry or where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry information only for as long as we need it to deal with your enquiry and any work that results from it, and to meet any legal or accounting obligations. After that, we delete it, including the copy held in our Formspree account.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct it, delete it or restrict how we use it. You can also object to our use of it. To make a request, contact us using the details above.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to deal with your concern first.

Cookies, analytics and third-party content

With your permission, this website uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are viewed and whether an enquiry was sent. Google Analytics only loads, and its cookies are only set, if you choose “Accept” on our cookie banner. Advertising features are switched off. Google processes this data under Google’s privacy policy, and may process it outside the UK. You can change your choice at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. We store your choice in your browser’s local storage so we don’t ask again on every page.

Some features rely on third-party services that your browser connects to directly:

  • fonts are loaded from Google Fonts and icons from cdnjs (Cloudflare), which receive your IP address when the page loads;
  • the About and Contact pages include an embedded Google Map, and Google may collect information and set cookies when the map loads, under Google’s privacy policy;
  • links to Google, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn take you to those services, where their own privacy policies apply.
